First Prototype December 2016

Working with engineer Pat Vincenti, Pat was able to take a drill battery and trigger and hot glue it to the side of a gutted blender and hardwire it in. proof that a portabel blender is possible

First Pitch to Investors Early 2017

Jon takes BLENDi in front of investors for the first time, armed with a prototype and a conviction that portable blending was the future.

May 2017 Final Prototype Created

After working with 11 UMass engineers, the final prototype was locked in — powerful, compact, and ready for production

Growing Phase

Septemebr 2017 - 300 Units. Sold Out.

The first BLENDi order arrived in 2018 and sold out by December — proof the demand was real.

2022 Pro+ Created

The BLENDi Pro+ raised the bar — more power, ice-crushing capability, and 10 colors to match every lifestyle.

Mission & Vision

BLENDi exists to make smooth, fresh drinks possible anywhere — without a cord, a countertop, or a compromise. From day one, the goal has been simple: build something powerful enough to actually work, small enough to take anywhere, and easy enough that you use it every day.

BLENDi started in a Springfield College dorm room in 2016. After identifying that there was no good cordless option for smooth, lump-free protein shakes on the go, founder Jonathan Katz began developing a solution from scratch.

After working with 11 University of Massachusetts engineers, the final prototype was designed and the first BLENDi blenders were produced in the summer of 2018. By December 2018, BLENDi had sold out of its first 300 units — and the brand has been growing ever since, now serving customers nationwide and earning features on The View, Live with Kelly and Ryan, and Good Morning America.
