Choose BLENDi for no more seedy smoothies.

When it comes to blackberry and raspberry seeds, Blendi (Brookline, MA)
rechargeable portable blenders have the power to blend them to smoothness and
not prickle the tongue. As founder Jonathan Katz says, “Smoothies should taste
smooth, not sandy.”
The BLENDi Pro+ 17-ounce portable blender ($59.99) can make smoothies, shakes,
frozen cocktails or mocktails, salad dressing, salsa, frozen coffee or baby food. For
those on the go, it fits most cupholders. It can crush an ice cube or two in 1-2 runs.
It charges from empty to full (no counting dots, its display will say “FL”) in 3-5 hours
and a full charge is good for 10-15 blender runs, each 20 seconds long.
For those who want a bigger portable blender, the new BLENDi X 24-ounce
portable blender ($79.99) is today’s largest portable blender, ups its speed to
20,000 RPM and adds a pulse mode.
BLENDi can handle vegetables, fresh, dried or frozen fruits (cut into sensible sizes),
many kinds of liquid ingredients (water, milk, oil, vinegar, fruit juices and more),
yogurt, ice cream or sherbet (let them soften), powders, cereal, even chocolate
(and other) chips. It’s so quiet that the next room won’t hear it running.
No need for the dishwasher – some water, a drop of liquid soap, touch the buton and it works like its own
dishwasher – then rinse, dry, done.
It already smooths more than other batery blenders, but to shake things up even more, go ahead and
shake it while it’s running (hint: a slight slant can help it agitate more fully).
Every BLENDi can convert to a water botle or a travel container, comes with a protective blade cover and
has a no-mess spout top with an extra D-loop keeper to keep an accidental press on the flip-open buton
from turning into an accident.
BLENDi is on display at IHA S3446.
